Does the library have my course textbooks?
Answer
Possibly!
The Oregon Tech Library maintains a Course Reserves collection, located behind the Help Desk. This collection is updated each term to include as many required course materials as possible, based on faculty requests and availability.
Course Reserve items have shorter loan periods—typically two hours—to ensure more students can access them. During this time, students often read in the Library, take photos of key pages, or use the Library’s scanners to save sections for later.
Items on the Course Reserves shelf are organized by course code (e.g., BIO 103). To borrow an item, visit the Library Help Desk and provide the course code to a staff member—we’ll retrieve it for you.
If you’re not sure whether your textbook is available, just ask at the Help Desk or use the Submit a Question button on the right side of this page—we’re happy to check for you!
